A Voice on the Job

Forming a union creates a unified voice and builds the power we need to make improvements at our facilities. By working together as a group, rather than as isolated individuals, we can collaborate with our employers to address key issues and concerns in our hospitals and health care facilities. We can sit down with administrators and supervisors to work out solutions as equals. A union gives the people who actually do the work a say in how the workplace operates.

Rather than leaving all the decisions about staffing and patient care standards to hospital and nursing home administrators, we’re coming together to address key issues and concerns through negotiated contracts, legislative and regulatory solutions, and community outreach.
